Manteo, North Carolina – Pirate’s Cove recently awarded a three-year event management contract for its annual Big Game Tournaments to Cabin Fever Communications (CFC). Cabin Fever Communications will assume responsibility for all events headquartered at the Pirate’s Cove facility. The Pirate’s Cove Big Game Tournament annual event series includes nine events annually, including its Billfish Tournament, which is one of the largest billfish events in the world. The Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2008.

CFC specializes in marketing, publishing and photography and is headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. CFC will also have offices on-site at Pirate’s Cove Marina located at 2000 Sailfish Drive, Manteo, NC 27954. CFC ownership includes Harry Hindmarsh, CEO of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Kevin Crum, COO of Chesapeake, Virginia.

The 2008 Pirate’s Cove Big Game Tournaments schedule will include the following events:
    -  3rd Annual Bluewater Tuna Round Up May 29-31
    -  5th Annual DeWalt Dare County Boat Builders Challenge July 17-20
    -  19th Annual Alice Kelly Ladies Only Memorial Billfish Tournament August 9-10
    -  25th Annual Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament August 11-15
